Dalton Corporation In Warsaw To Close Its Doors By March 2026

Dalton Corporation in Warsaw announced Monday they will be permanently closing their doors effective March 1, 2026.
First Brands Group LLC, the parent company of Dalton Corporation, sent a notice to employees stating the intent to permanently close the Warsaw facility.
Jackie Wyatt, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce’s receptionist; and Darryn Johnson, United Steelworkers Local 6805 chairman, confirmed the announcement to InkFreeNews.
“The company expects that 262 total employees will be affected by this closure,” the notice states. “The company expects that the closure will commence on Feb. 27, 2026, and that 257 employees will be terminated effective Feb. 27, 2026. The company currently expects that the facility closure will be complete by March 1, 2026; however, five employees will be retained past that date to assist with matters related to the closure. The company expects that one such employee will be separated on March 31, 2026. The final four employees do not yet have a set termination date. At this time, the company expects the closing to be permanent.”
First Brands Group LLC acquired Dalton Corporation almost two years ago and filed for bankruptcy in September 2025.
Dalton Corporation was founded in 1914, and is a premium supplier of gray iron, compacted graphite iron, and ductile iron castings. They provide large, highly cored, and complex iron castings for the agriculture, railroad, construction, medium/heavy-duty truck, defense, air conditioning/refrigeration, automotive performance aftermarket, power transmission and material handling sectors.
