Dale W. Wright, 96, Pierceton, passed away at 11:38 p.m. Sept. 5, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. He was born April 3, 1919, in Warsaw, to Hal and Sylvia Wright. On July 3, 1940, in Warsaw, he married Doris E. Pletcher, who preceded him in death Oct. 9, 2004. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He worked as a farmer, postal carrier and postmaster for Pierceton, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge, Warsaw. Surviving are: two daughters, Janet (and spouse Brent) Leifer, Las Vegas, Nev., and Cinda Cone, Alexandria; a son, Hal (and spouse Mary) Wright, Pierceton; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Garth Cone. Private services will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
