BOURBON – Dale E. Bules, 90, of rural Bourbon, died at 1:50 p.m. Feb. 10, 2013, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home of Plymouth.
He was born March 31, 1922, in Etna Green, to  Marvin and Carrie Flory Bules. On Jan. 30, 1944, he married Velma P., who died Oct. 26, 2010.
A lifelong resident of the Bourbon area, he graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1940 and was a lifelong farmer. He was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren until its closing and transferred his membership to Plymouth Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are five children: Rachel (and spouse Richard) Weik, Middletown, Pa.; Karen (and spouse Allen) Bules, Oak Park, Ill.; Diane (and spouse Max) Zolman, Knoxville, Tenn.; Stan (and spouse Carol) Bules, Bourbon; and Mark (and spouse Cindy) Bules, Rolling Prairie; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Sullivan, Bloomington. He also was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Plymouth Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ruth Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
