Dale D. Flenar, 78, of Warsaw, died at 10:59 a.m. Oct. 29, 2007, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Mentone, to Charlie and Lola Eiler Flenar. On July 4, 1947, in Silver Lake, he married Bertie Lou Zolman, who died March 13, 2007.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he drove a fertilizer truck for 17 years, then worked as a press operator at Brock Manufacturing for 18 years. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool.

Surviving are three sons, Don (and wife Leigh Ann) Flenar, Milford, and Mike (and wife Deborah) Flenar and Steve (and wife Lea Ann) Flenar, both of Warsaw; six grandchildren: Nick Flenar, Syracuse; Josh Flenar, Clunette; and Chase, Austin, Miranda Flenar and Courtney Howard, all of Warsaw; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Grandstaff, North Manchester. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Dean Flenar; and a grandson, Aaron Flenar.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
