Dale Clem
NAPPANEE – Dale Clem, 90, of 451 W. Walnut St., Nappanee, died at 5:20 p.m. April 9, 2011, in his residence, after a two-year battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer.
He was born March 6, 1921, in New Paris, to Amsey and Clara Weybright Clem. On June 7, 1953, in Nappanee, he married Jo Ann Bigler, who survives.
He was a lifetime area resident and a 1939 New Paris High School graduate. He was a mill worker for Farm Bureau Co-op for 43 years and worked at GCI, Nappanee, for 17 years until ill health caused him to retire. He was a member of Union Center Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are a son, Todd (and spouse Barb) Clem, Nappanee; two daughters, Lynette (and spouse Greg) Kirkdorffer and Dee (and spouse Larry) Bricker, all of Nappanee; five grandchildren; and a brother, Dan (and spouse Edna) Clem, Nokomis, Fla. He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Union Center Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
