Crews demolish the water tower in front of Da-Lite Screen Company this morning. The tower has stood since the company was built at 3100 N. Detroit St. in 1957, when the then-remote location required it to have its own water source, but hasn’t been used since underground wells were upgraded in 2010. Da-Lite decided to demolish it because of the cost of keeping the water from freezing in winter and because of company rebranding this year.
