D. Imogene Montel, 89, died at 3:30 p.m. April 14, 2009, in Grace Village Health Care Facility, Winona Lake.
She was born March 18, 1920, in Whitley County, to Wesley and Esther A. Coon Houser. On Nov. 10, 1939, she married Everett S. Montel, who died Feb. 23, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Wall, New Haven; four grandchildren: John Wall Jr., Fort Wayne; Jennifer Wall, New Haven; Brian Prater, Seattle, Wash.; and Michelle Deschane, Sebastian, Fla.; a great-granddaughter, Madison Adams; an expected great-grandson, Cooper Everett Wall; and special friends, Budd and Mary Kay Walls, Warsaw, their daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Scott Lawson, and granddaughter, Emily Lawson, Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Prater, and two brothers, Clarence and Jacob Houser.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastors Wanda Carter and Gale Janofski of Warsaw Wesleyan Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
