NORTH WEBSTER – Cynthia S. "Cyndi" DeWitt, 63, of Pierceton, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1957, in Pontiac, Mich., to Milford and Onalee Hillman Mullins Sr.

She grew up in South Caroline and attended high school there. She lived in Ohio until she moved to the Pierceton area 40 years ago. She was married on Dec. 18, 1993, in Syracuse, to Joseph Jay “Joe” DeWitt, who preceded her on Dec. 5, 2017. She was a seamstress, certified nursing assistant and formerly worked at Ciper Ricara in Ligonier, Goshen Cushion and Knockers Lounge in Syracuse. She was also the owner/operator of Turn Key Enterprises.

She formerly attended the Open Bible Baptist Church in Warsaw.

She is survived by daughter, Stephanie (Nate) Ott, of Syracuse; three sons: David Hawthorne, of Union, Mich.; Brock Hawthorne, of Pierceton; and Joshua (Courtney Ruggier) Hawthorne, of Warsaw; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Brenda (Terry) Winebrenner, of North Carolina; Sarah (Fred) Stamey, of North Carolina; and Cheryl (Deb McKinnley) Mullins, of Ohio; two brothers: Milford “Micky” (Michelle) Mullins II, of Texas; and Paul (Diane) Mullins, of California; half brother, Mike Mullins, of Alabama; three stepsisters: Patricia Armstrong, of Ligonier; Jackie (Chris) Gaetz, of Angola; and Katie Berry, of Georgia; two stepbrothers: Mike Isaacs, of LaGrange; and Norman Isaacs, of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Mary Ann Winebrenner.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date.

Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
