SOUTH WHITLEY – Cynthia Ann Ulshafer, 54, Seymour, formerly of South Whitley, died unexpectedly at 3:36 p.m. June 12, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. She was born July 16, 1961, in Stockton, Calif., to Jack D. and Kathleen Paseka Ulshafer. She spent her formative years in New Haven. The family then moved to South Whitley where she completed middle school and graduated from Whitko High School in 1979. She was currently employed by Aisin USA, Seymour, in the quality department since 2003. Previously, she had worked for Dwyer Instruments, South Whitley, for 10 years. She cherished her time with her daughters and grandkids. She also enjoyed bingo, fishing, mushroom hunting and trips anywhere that involved shopping. Surviving are three daughters, Janelle A. (and spouse Nathan) Rhoades, Pierceton; Laura L. (and spouse Eric) English, Springfield, Ill.; KayLynn Keirn, Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren, James and Timothy Herr and Lucas Rhoades; her father, Jack Ulshafer, South Whitley; a sister, Teresa (and spouse Rick) Cokl, South Whitley; nephews: Riley and Garrett Cokl, South Whitley; Gavin, Devin and Grayson Ulshafer, and their mother, Amanda Sroufe, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Ulshafer; a brother, Jeff Ulshafer; and a sister, Melissa “Missy” Ulshafer. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
