The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau awarded a total of $6,247 to 10 recipients through the Tourism Promotion Fund and the Community Outreach grant programs.
Grants are awarded to provide assistance to qualified not-for-profit organizations for promotional assistance toward projects to draw visitors from outside Kosciusko County.
Organizations and events receiving 2002 awards were: Kosciusko County 4-H and Community Fair, $200; Fort Wayne Philharmonic, $400; Winona Lake fireworks fund, $400; Jail Museum, $350; City of Lakes Festival, $2,000; Warsaw Breakfast Optimists, $356.75; Muskie Classic Tournament, $1,140.77; Big Brothers/Big Sisters, $400; Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, $750; and Oakwood Art Festival, $250.
