Curtis Ousley Jr.Curtis Ousley Jr., 64, of Claypool, passed away on May 24, 2019, at 11:25 a.m. in V.A. Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Jan. 30, 1955, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Curtis and Ruth Hall Ousley Sr. On Dec. 2, 1994, he was united in marriage to Linda Jackson in Van Wert, Ohio.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was owner and founder of Chopper’s Exotic where he raised lions, tigers, cougars, bears, monkeys and other exotic animals. He was an active member of the NRA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; and children, William Hunt of Mentone, Tanesha Hunt of Fort Wayne, Jamie (Latasha) Hunt of Warsaw and Jesse (Heather) Hunt of Warsaw. He is further survived by his siblings, Troy (Janet) Ousley of Claypool and Deborah (Terry) Kreft of Claypool, along with 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his mother in 2015 and his father in 2018.
His funeral service will be held in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Wednesday, May 29, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior on Wednesday, May 29 from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Claypool with Military Honors.
