BOURBON – Curtis M. Richardson, 93, of Argos, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, in his home.
Curtis was born on Feb. 25, 1933, to Johnnie and Ellen Sheppard Richardson in Plain City, Ohio. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from May 28, 1953, to Aug. 7, 1955. He married Violet Oneal on Dec. 31, 1953, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 2020. He worked in trailer factories for White Metal Co. in Warsaw and Faulkner Fabricating. He was a member of Riverview Community Church of Tippecanoe. He enjoyed word-search books, collecting Coke items, gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, spending time outdoors and sharing his Army stories.
Curtis will be dearly missed by his daughter, Cathy (Claude) Howell, of Plymouth; his son, Lee Richardson, of Culver; his grandchildren: April Lockridge, Tammy Swihart and Melissa Richardson; and his great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Amber.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Violet Richardson; his grandson, Michael; his brothers: Aaron Richardson, William Richardson and Riley Richardson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Riverview Community Church, 3780 Ind. 110, Tippecanoe. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastors Stephen Wilhelm and Rod Ruberg officiating.
The burial will take place in Walnut Church Cemetery, 19056 Gumwood Road, Argos, with military honors by the Bourbon American Legion.
