GOSHEN - Curtis Lee Henderson, 77, of 402 Carter Road, Goshen, died at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 25, 2009, in his home. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer Aug. 18, 2009.
He was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Sulliqen, Ala., living there since 1955, to Grody R. and Minnie Carter Henderson. On Aug. 18, 1978, in Goshen, he married Josephine Mohler, who survives.
He worked at Homecrest for 23-1/2 years and was a special saw man. He belonged to Wetland Archery Club, Syracuse, and Solomon Creek United Methodist Church. He loved his garden, archery and crafts such as building birdfeeders and snowmen and was an avid hunter.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dwana (and spouse Charlie) Baucom, Columbus, Miss.; three sons: Scott (and spouse Andrea) Henderson and Ricky (and spouse Tawnya) Henderson, all of Middlebury; Mike (and spouse Melody) Feaster, Warsaw; two sisters, Etheleen Prince, Goshen, and Vergie (and spouse Jim) Chism, Columbus, Miss.; two brothers, Clifford Henderson, Columbus, Miss., and Ollie (and spouse Linda) Henderson, Vernon, Ala.; 13 grandchildren: Zac, Broc, Camrey and Lexx Henderson; Ryan Baucom; Tammy and Troy Feaster; Joni Goshert; Shauna Perkins; Amy Hollinger; Jeff, Gerrad and Josh Galloway; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three children: Danny Henderson, Ricky Feaster and Gene Feaster.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with Carldean Merrifield, Solomon Creek United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshen.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
