Warsaw Housing Authority and Housing Opportunities of Warsaw board member Joel Curry was recognized for his years of service on the board during Monday's WHA meeting.
Curry has served on the boards for six years and announced his resignation Monday.
WHA Board President Bob Kline presented Curry with a plaque for his service.
Curry said he will miss serving on the boards."It has been an honor to be part of helping to assure affordable and safe housing service needs are met in our community," Curry said.
Carie Jocobie, who has been hired to serve as financial manager for HOW and WHA, was introduced during the meeting. Jacobie replaces Teresa Brown.
The board reviewed a housing voucher program report for September that included 170 people using the program.
Board member Tammy Keirn said she is working with an accountant to get an audit report for HOW.
The board also heard Bertsch Foundation has donated $5,000, and Wal-Mart has donated $1,000 for HOW's weatherization program.
The program's goal is to provide energy efficiency in homes by providing weather-striping material.
Board members are Kline, Karen Bober-Moeller, Page Himes, Keirn and Melissa Francis.
