Curbside Flatbread Truck Sees Early Success

Posted
Gabe Rager has spent much of his life working in various kitchens.

Now he and wife Kammi have decided to go into business for themselves.

But not in the typical way.

Rather than buying or renting an old building, the Ragers decided to take an old trailer Gabe bought and gut it.

The finished product is a funky food truck called Curbside where the couple specializes in flatbreads.

All are homemade. For the turkey sausage, Gabe stuffs it himself.

The truck is located off South Lake Street across from the former Bureau of Motor Vehicles building and south of Wolford’s Cleaners.

Patrons can drive up and either sit at a tables near the truck, eat in their car or take it to go.

The truck opened Tuesday and Kammi said the word of mouth so far has been tremendous.

On Thursday, as customers lined up for their orders, they chatted with each other and gave Curbside rave reviews.

Curbside is open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday as Gabe still has another job.

Kammi said they hope to be open on the occasional Saturday.

Also, as summer bleeds into fall, Kammi is hoping to offer more seasonal items.
