Culver's Open For Business Today

After a groundbreaking ceremony this summer and months of construction, Culver's opened its doors today in Warsaw.

The restaurant, located at 825 N. Parker St., is owned by Matt Lennington.

Lennington was on hand today with wife Melyssa to take part in an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Warsaw Mayor Ernie Wiggins and Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce President Mark Dobson were on hand for the ribbon cutting.

Lennington said his restaurant employs 73 people.

The financing of the restaurant was provided through Lake City Bank while the landscaping was also kept local with Wihebrink Landscape Management.

Culver's will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

Lennington said the restaurant will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day this year.

The Warsaw location is the 423rd Culver's to open. The first Culver's opened in 1984 in Wisconsin.

At a groundbreaking ceremony in August, Culver's CEO Craig Culver was on hand to wish the Lenningtons luck in their newest venture.

Culver's is known for its butter burgers and frozen custard.

Lennington said the restaurant will offer Flavor of the Day, which will provide hundreds of frozen custard choices to customers.

The opening of Culver's marks the expansion of the area along U.S. 30 and Parker St. known simply as the Menards subdivision.Martin's Supermarket is scheduled to open next month with a grand opening preview and ribbon cutting scheduled for Nov. 1.

Construction is also currently ongoing for a bank behind Culver's.

Community Wide Federal Credit Union will be at the intersection of Parker Street and Patterson Road.
