Warsaw’s varsity boys golf team celebrated Senior Night with a pair of Northern Lakes Conference wins Thursday at Stonehenge. Led by senior Ryan Cultice’s 40, the Tigers shot a four-man score of 167 to beat Plymouth by three strokes and Elkhart Memorial by six strokes. “Ryan Cultice was the hero for us tonight solely on his competitive approach to the round,” said Warsaw coach Ben Barkey, whose team improved to 3-2 overall in 9-hole matches and 2-1 in the NLC standings. “He was extremely determined and played with a competitive edge.” Reid Cameron shot a 41 for the Tigers, while Will Petro, Jonny Hollar and Brandon Eckert all carded 43s. “Senior Night is always special, and we’re glad we won two matches today against quality opponents,” said Barkey. “Will (Petro) has been a cornerstone of our program for two years. It’s also great when our JV team beats all the varsity teams. The future has promise.” Warsaw’s JV team, led by 40s from Michael Jensen and Josh Ahlersmeyer, shot a 166 Thursday, while Plymouth’s JV team shot 208 and Memorial’s JV squad finsihed with a 224. The Tigers are in action again Saturday at the Culver Academies Invitational, which will be played at Mystic Hills.
