Cub Scout Pack 3767 Assists Day Camp Cleanup

Posted
Members of Lincoln School Pack 3767 went to Rising Arrow Campground and assisted with getting the camp ready for this summer’s Day Camp.

With the Sycamore trees shedding limbs with every wind, it is an annual cleanup process. Pack 3767 members cleaned up the staff parking area and around the obstacle course.

Five members of Boy Scout Troop 715 arrived and taught the Cub Scouts some Boy Scout skills. Bryston Canada showed how to tie a Clove Hitch, CJ Skaggs taught the Square Knot, Cameron Ingle showed them how to make an arm sling, and Dillon King did the Diagonal Lashing.

Trevor McCloughan showed how Maple Syrup was made and even had a sample to taste.

The last part of the evening, the Pack went back into the woods, and along the Camp Nature Trail they planted 15 new White Pine trees that were provided by Troop 715 Scoutmaster Dick McCleary.
