Cub Scouts from across Kosciusko and Whitley counties joined together at Camp Rising Arrow for the annual Lincolnway District Cub Scout Day Camp recently. Boys 6-11 years old romped through the woods while completing tasks associated with this year's Egyptian theme, along with traditional Cub Scout favorites. New this year for Webelos II, the oldest scouts at the camp, was the making of a real arrow. The boys made "flew-through" arrows, with spiral-bound feathers at the back, as decorative pieces for their Arrow of Light ceremonies later this year, when each completes Webelos and is ready to move to Boy Scouts. Any boy in first through fifth grades is welcome in Cub Scouts.
