The Lincolnway District 2010 Cub Scout Cubmobile Race took place Saturday on Indiana Street, Warsaw. All Cub Scouts were eligible and could build a car or participate with a shared pack car. The cars were simpler versions of soapbox derby cars. Cars were placed in pairs on an inclined starting gate and released. Each Scout was allowed two passes down the track. The runs were timed and placing was decided by the fastest three times in each of seven weight classes. The Lincolnway District includes Kosciusko and Whitley counties Scout packs. Details of the race are available online at www.awac.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=MTGPKczdJzg%3d&tabid=78&mid=405&language=en-US Pictured is Patrick Bollinger, Pack 3729, Leesburg, racing his Cubmobile.
