Pack 3782 recently participated in the Lincolnway District Cub-O-Rama campout. Camp was set up Friday night and Saturday morning was the Arrow of light ceremony. The pack had three Scouts, Tyler Smith, Jonny Caudill and Nathaniel Banghart, who earned the necessary requirements and crossed over into Boy Scouts. They remained with Troop 782 the rest of the Boy Scout Spring Camp-O-Ree. The Cub Scouts participated in their events that included archery, BB gun shoot, sling shot, fire building, nail driving and shelter building. Blake Taylor, Matthew Caudill, Blaine Smith, Ashton Irwin, McCartney Wright and Jacob Lybarger received first place in shelter building and won the Gold Tent Stake award. Saturday night, the Scouts participated in the traditional campfire and observed the Boy Scouts receiving their awards, performing skits and observed the Boy Scout Order of Arrow ceremony. It was a good weekend for the scouts and all adults that attended with them. The pack also has performed community service by planting some flowers on Main Street in Mentone and volunteered at a work day for the First Baptist Church in Mentone where the Scouts meet each week. The pack has several activities planned for the summer, including marching in the Egg Festival parade, day camp at Rising Arrow scout camp, and camping at Chain-O-Lakes state park.
