With just three owners in a 90-year span, Crownover Jewelers has experienced the sort of stability that allows a business to stay open for so long.
“We’re family-owned and customer service is our major focus,” said owner Andy Garrett. “We like taking care of people.
Crownover Jewelers is marking its 90th year in business this week with a 50-percent sale off every item in stock.
That sale runs through this week.
A diamond ring worth $1,100 is also being raffled off.
The drawing for that will be Friday.
People can enter to win the ring by either going to wrsw.net or visiting the store at 104 E. Center St. in Warsaw.
The original store began in Rochester before moving to Warsaw. Once in Warsaw, it had several locations before settling on its downtown spot.
Garrett said his business’ full-service approach has been a key to Crownover’s success.
From watch and jewelery repair to appraisals, Crownover offers a full range of services on top of its sale of all manner of jewelry.
And with the store being in business so long, generations have grown to use Crownover.
“In the past we had grandpas come in buying rings and now it’s their grandkids coming in to buy engagement rings,” said Garrett. “So that’s pretty cool.”
The 1,000 square-foot storefront employs five peopple.
Crownover Jewelers is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
