COLUMBIA CITY - A Warsaw man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening in Whitley County.
William Adams, 70, of Warsaw, died at Parkview Whitley Hospital after the vehicle he was driving hit a utility pole.
According to the Whitley County Sheriff's Department, Adams was eastbound on US 30 around 6:46 p.m. Monday when his vehicle went into the westbound lane at the intersection of CR 400W. He continued in the westbound lane for about two-twnths of a mile before leaving the north side of US 30 and hitting a utility pole.
Adams was taken to Parkview Whitley Hospital, where he later died.
The accident remains under investigation.
The Whitley County Sheriff's Department, Columbia City Police Department, Whitley County EMS and Richland Township Fire Department responded to the scene of the crash.
