Two men are dead following an early morning accident on Pierceton Road. One of the bodies wasn't discovered until more than six hours after the 12:18 a.m. accident, and the names of the deceased, both males, are being withheld pending notification of relatives.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was called to the accident scene on Pierceton Road, one-quarter mile east of CR 400E, near Warsaw, and found the first body outside the vehicle.

Police said the driver of the vehicle apparently lost control of the 1995 Saab on a curve and skidded for a distance before flipping over several times. The first man found, believed to be the driver, was ejected from the vehicle. The body of the second man, found by a property owner shortly before 7 a.m., was located more than 200 feet east of the first body and was down in a gulley, police said.

Both men died from massive internal injuries. No seat belts were in use.

Excessive speed is believed to have been a factor in the accident.

Assisting at the scene were Indiana State Police, Pierceton Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service and Multi-Township Emergency Medical Service.

The accident remains under investigation.
