OSWEGO - A Tippecanoe Lake woman died Sunday from injuries she suffered in a one-car accident Saturday on Armstrong Road after leaving the roadway for an unknown reason.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to the 8:33 a.m. accident on Armstrong Road, west of CR 450E, near Oswego.
The driver of the car, Anna Laura Pressel, 73, EMS T15 Lane, Leesburg, was still in the vehicle when emergency personnel arrived and, according to police reports, she was semi-conscious.
Officers were unable to speak with Pressel, but the attending physician at Kosciusko Community Hospital told police that Pressel did not know what happened prior to the accident nor what caused the accident.
Police said that Pressel was westbound on Armstrong Road when her vehicle crossed the center line, went off the south side of the road and struck a large utility pole.
Pressel suffered a broken arm, broken leg and head injuries. She was airlifted from KCH to Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, where she later succumbed to those injuries.
