A Warsaw man is in critical condition today after he sustained severe head injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 5:49 p.m. Thursday.
Ryan J. Sparks, 18, of Shagbark Drive, Warsaw, was airlifted from the accident scene and admitted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
According to police, the accident occurred while Sparks was headed east on CR 250N, east of Ind. 15, and he leaned over to the passenger side of his pickup. His pickup left the south edge of the roadway.
Sparks apparently overcorrected and then ran off the road's north edge, hitting a utility pole head-on.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Plain Township Fire Department and EMS, Multi-Township EMS and Samaritan Air Ambulance. The accident remains under investigation.
