Two people were treated at Kosciusko Community Hospital after a 5:36 a.m. accident today at the intersection of U.S. 30 and CR 800W, near Atwood. Jeffery H. Mellott, 25, West CR 200N, Etna Green, and Jeffrey Butler, 36, Fort Wayne, were later released from KCH. Mellott was partially ejected from his pickup, which then rolled over him. However, he escaped serious injury. According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office report, Mellott was northbound on CR 800W and pulled into the path of Butler, who was westbound on U.S. 30.
