Crash Injures Three; Driver Faces ChargesA Sunday evening accident resulted in injuries to three people, with one driver facing various charges.
At 6:30 p.m., an SUV, driven by Paul A. Mallery, 46, of 304 E. Levi Lee Road, Lot 67, Warsaw, turned from Levi Lee Road into the path of a car headed northbound on Ind. 15.
The driver of the car, Samantha Johnson, 18, of 209 N. Perry St., Milford, and a passenger, Holly Shenefield, 15, of 301 N. Perry St., Milford, both sustained injuries in the crash. Johnson complained of pain to her legs, and Shenefield sustained chest injuries. Mallery also sustained a back injury. All three were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. No more information regarding their status was available as of press time.
Officers on the scene determined Mallery was driving while his license is suspended, and he did not have insurance. Mallery has not been charged in the crash.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Multi-Township EMS at the crash scene.
