Crash Claims Rochester WomanA Rochester woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Ind. 15 Wednesday afternoon.

Lois A. Kimmel, 68, Rochester, was pronounced dead by Kosciusko County Deputy Coroner Mike Wilson at the scene of the crash, which involved her van, a car and a pickup.Around 1:22 p.m. Wednesday, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department received a call about a head-on crash, and when officers arrived, they discovered three vehicles were involved in the accident.

The Kosciusko County crash investigation team determined Kimmel was southbound on Ind. 15 in the van when, for an unknown reason, she crossed the center line. Initially, Kimmel's van sideswiped a northbound car driven by Jon Clydesdale, 22, of Wylie, Texas. The van then hit a northbound pickup driven by Erica R. Mabery, 22, of Wabash, head-on.

Both Clydesdale and Mabery were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, where they both were listed in serious but stable condition with cuts and minor injuries.

Although alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, toxicology testing is being done.

The accident remains under investigation.

Multi-Township EMS, Warsaw Fire Department, Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of the crash.
