NORTH MANCHESTER – Craig Steven Raikes, 49, of Laketon, died at 3 p.m. March 13, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Oct. 22, 1963, in Peru, to David William and Carole Jean Ternosky Raikes. On Feb. 26, 1994, he married Tyna Lynn Kindler, who survives. He graduated from Southwood High School in 1982. He was a welder for 19 years at Abresist Kalenborn Corp., Urbana. He was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, the 4WB Praise Band of the church and the Jimmy B&4 On The Floor Band. Surviving are a son, Corey Steven Raikes, Laketon; two daughters, Autumn Claire Raikes (and fiance Brett Taylor), Roann, and Rhyan Shay Raikes, Fort Wayne; his father, David Raikes, Lafayette; his mother, Carole Jean Kreighbaum, Plainfield; a brother, Kris R. (and spouse Kelly) Raikes, Santa Cruz, Calif.; two sisters, Debra J. Raikes, (and companion Karen Oliver), Avon, and JoAnna R. Kreighbaum, Denver, Colo.; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, officiated by Pastor J.P. Freeman. Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. and after the service until 5 p.m. at the church.
