CPAF Presenting Free Concert Oct. 25

Posted
Though the MasterWorks Festival is moving to Cedarville (Ohio) University in summer 2016, and the Second Sunday Series concerts are not being held this year, a number of free concerts will be held between now and next summer as a way for the Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship to thank the community for its support.
The first of these free concerts is “Autumn in the Aire!” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Winona Lake, featuring violinist Gert Kumi.
The press release from CPAF states, “Join us for an evening of talent ranging from voice, violin, harp, acting and more as we celebrate this autumn season. The Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship will be featuring a number of classical pieces that are familiar favorites, a jazz tune or two, and a few famous duets. We hope to make your autumn special with the gift of music and performing arts. Let us thank God for this change of season and the opportunity to make music together.”
Current CPAF alumnus Heather Woitena will bring her harp to the stage to play several pieces and a duet with Kumi. The two of them will perform “Meditation” from “Thais for Violin and Harp.” This will be one of many elegant classical pieces performed this night, the release states.
Afterward, the audience may join in to sing praise hymns as the evening concludes.
