Cowan Likely To Replace Koble On Syracuse Council

With only one person filing for the Syracuse Town Council seat left vacant after Carol Koble resigned Dec. 30, Kosciusko County Republican Mike Gavin said that person will be appointed.

Cassie Cowan, Medusa Street, Syracuse, likely will be sworn in as the new town council member at the Syracuse Town Council meeting Tuesday, Gavin said.

Cowan resides in Ward 3 of Syracuse.

A Republican caucus planned for tonight to appoint Koble's replacement has been canceled.
