Debra Green, 27, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court to 1-1/2 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine in an amount less than three grams, a Class D felony, as a lesser included offense of dealing in methamphetamine, a Class B felony. She will receive good time credit and credit for time served totaling two days.
She was ordered to pay court costs, a $100 fine and a $200 drug interdiction fee.
Pending good behavior, the sentence will be suspended and she will be placed on probation. As part of her probation, she must pay a $100 initial, $100 administrative and $25 monthly probation user's fees.
She also was ordered to pay $285 restitution to the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and she is subject to random drug testing.
Sexual Battery Nets Tinkey Two Years
Phillip Michael Tinkey, 22, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court to two years in prison for sexual battery, a Class D felony. He will receive credit for time served and good time credit totaling 104 days.
He was ordered to pay a $100 fine, court costs and a $250 sexual assault victims assistance fee. He also must register as a sex offender.
Suspended Sentence Given To Jefferson
Keith A. Jefferson, 24, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court to 1-1/2 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine, a Class D felony, as a lesser included offense of possession of methamphetamine less than three grams within 1,000 feet of a public park, a Class B felony. He will receive credit for time served and good time credit totaling 106 days.
He was ordered to pay a $100 fine, court costs and a $200 drug interdiction fee.
Pending good behavior, the sentence will be suspended and he will be placed on probation. As part of his probation, he must pay a $100 initial, $100 administrative and $25 monthly probation user's fees.
He also is subject to random drug testing while on probation.
