Brooke R. Smith, 22, of Argos, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Superior Court to three years in prison for each of two counts forgery, a Class C felony as charged in count I and count V of the charging information. Two years of the sentence for count one and three years of the sentence for count V are suspended for probation. As part of her probation, Smith is ordered to pay a $100 initial, $100 administrative, and $20 monthly probation user's fees. She also was ordered to enroll in and attend a minimum of one class per session at IVY Tech or an equivalent institution of higher education.
Melendez Sentenced For Intimidation
Domingo Melendez, 27, of Milford, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Superior Court to 1-1/2 years in prison for intimidation, a Class D felony. One year of the sentence will be served in the Kosciusko County Jail and the final six months will be suspended for probation. As part of his probation, he must pay a $100 initial, $100 administrative, and $20 monthly probation user's fees. He also was ordered to participate in any counseling recommended by his probation officer.
Gustafson Gets 3-Year Prison Sentence
Nathan M. Gustafson, 27, of Leesburg, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court to three years in prison for possession of a legend drug, a Class D felony. He was ordered to pay a $100 fine and the sentenced was suspended for probation. As part of his probation, he was ordered to pay a $100 administrative, $100 initial and $25 monthly probation user's fees. He also was ordered to pay a $200 drug interdiction fee.
