Sandra Evette Hernandez, 39, of 3204 Kuder Lane, Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:35 a.m. Jan. 18 for domestic battery with a preliminary bond of $6,000.

Adrienne Hernandez, 39, same address, was booked into the KCJ at 1:16 a.m. Jan. 18 on the same charge and bond. Court documents filed Tuesday list the charges against her as domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. She has since been released on her own recognizance and her initial hearing was set for 1 p.m. Feb. 21.

Court documents on Sandra were not available this morning.

On Jan. 17, Warsaw Police officer Ross Minear responded to a domestic disturbance at 3204 Kuder Lane. He talked with the two people involved, Adrienne and her wife, Sandra.

Adrienne told Minear that she and Sandra were arguing when Sandra punched her in the face, causing red marks on her nose, forehead and cheek, and gave her a bloodied lip. She also said she doesn’t remember much about the incident because she was knocked unconscious.

Sandra told Minear that she and her wife were arguing when Adrienne started punching her in the face so she hit Adrienne in the face, causing Adrienne’s mouth to bleed. Minear saw there were marks on Sandra’s face and she had bloodied knuckles on her right hand.

Minear spoke with a witness under the age of 16 who said he saw Adrienne, and his mother fighting.

Another witness confirmed the fight.
