Kosciusko Community YMCA announced Chad Zaucha as its new CEO.
He will begin his position Aug. 23.
"The Kosciusko Community YMCA board and staff are excited to welcome Chad Zaucha and his family. We believe Chad will be a vibrant part of the mission and ministry of our YMCA. We hope the members of the association and the community at large will make Chad and his family feel very welcome," said David C. Kolbe, president of the YMCA Board of Directors.
Zaucha is a 2004 graduate of Indiana State University where he earned a master's degree in physical education.
In addition, Zaucha received a bachelor's degree in health and safety from Indiana State University in 2002.
Zaucha brings more than five years of YMCA experience to the Kosciusko Community YMCA.
Most recently, he served as the chief executive officer of the YMCA of Clay County where he was responsible for management of more than $900,000 in program operations.
He moved the association from a deficit operation to a surplus position. He also established several community partnerships to embrace the Y's focus on social responsibility and developed programs targeted at reducing the incident of childhood obesity.
Zaucha is involved in the community and is membership chair of the Association of YMCA Professionals Chapter 35, board member of the Brazil Rotary Club, board member of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Clay County Tobacco Coalition.
He said he is enthusiastic about the opportunity to make the Kosciusko Community YMCA the very best. He is also looking forward to working with the volunteers, staff and community to assure a strong YMCA for future generations.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Kosciusko Community YMCA Team and look forward to supporting the mission of the Y as we aim to connect and impact the community for years to come."
