County Up To 30 COVID DeathsWith an additional COVID-19 death reported to the Kosciusko County Health Department between noon Oct. 29 and noon Tuesday, the county is up to 30.
Additionally, the KCHD reports receiving 320 new molecular and antigen positive cases during that same time period, giving the county a cumulative total of 2,916 since March with 921 of those active.
By month, October had the most positive tests with 1,009. September had 272; August, 216; July, 323; June, 347; May, 106; April, 31; and March 5.
Regarding the 30 COVID deaths so far in the county, over half were men and the average age for men who died was 79.9 years. The maximum age was 95, and the minimum was 61. The average age for women who died from the virus was 80.9 years old, with a maximum of 98 and minimum of 50.
