County Jobless Rate Remains Low

Kosciusko County remains below the state unemployment level.

While Indiana's jobless rate stands at 3.4 percent, the local county rate stood at 2.9 percent in December, up from 2.5 percent a month earlier, according to Indiana's Workforce Development.

Other preliminary county rates for December include: Elkhart, 3.9; Fulton, 3.7; Wabash, 3.5; Marshall, 3.3; Noble, 3.1; LaGrange, 2.9; and Whitley, 2.3.
