Kosciusko County Republican Party chairman Mike Gavin said Wednesday that the caucus for the Wayne Township trustee will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Munson Building, 216 N. Lake St., Warsaw.
Declaration of candidacy must be filed with Gavin no later than 72 hours prior to the caucus (Dec. 9). Forms are available from the Kosciusko County clerk's office.
If mailed, the forms must be postmarked no later than 72 hours prior to the caucus and can be sent to Gavin at 85 S. Hunters Ridge, Warsaw. Candidates must be Republicans.
As of Wednesday, Gavin said no one has yet filed for the position. As the trustee is an elected position, no experience is necessary but it does help, he said.
Current Wayne Township Trustee Sheila Hodges has resigned effective Dec. 1.
