It was announced at the Kosciusko County Commissioners meeting Tuesday that an Indiana Department of Transportation grant was awarded to the county.
During the 17-minute meeting, the commissioners were told about the Indiana Department of Transportation grant for $2 million that will go toward repairs on Old 30 between Fox Farm Road and Zimmer Road.County Administrator Ron Robinson told the commissioners that he is currently working on policy books, and that a building project at the county's work release building is now complete. The project came in $195 over budget, said Robinson, due to a problem with some materials.
Robinson also informed the board that the American Legion is working on taking care of the Kosciusko County Veterans Memorial Wall located on the southwest side of the Old Courthouse in Warsaw.
Emergency Management Director Ed Rock told the commissioners that despite the severe weather Monday night, there was no major damage reported in the county.
The board approved the appointment of Ron Yeiter to the redevelopment commission.
Dennis Pletcher, county highway department, informed the board that the sealing of sections on Old 30 are being worked on.
