County COVID-19 Count Increases By 19Between noon Tuesday and noon Thursday, the Kosciusko County Health Department received 19 new molecular and antigen positive COVID-19 cases.
This gives the county a cumulative total of 1,175 positive antigen and molecular cases, including 17 deaths, according to Thursday’s information from the KCHD. The cumulative total also includes 1,015 recovered cases, 135 total active cases with eight hospitalized active cases.
By gender, women make up 638 cases while men make up 537.
Looking at cases by age, 265 are 19 to 29; followed by 209, 50 to 59; 168, 40 to 49; 156, 60 to 69; 133, 30 to 39; 127, birth to 18; 64, 80 to 99; and 53, 70 to 79 years old.
White residents make up 69.4% of the cases, followed by Hispanic at 27.9%, other at 2.1% and African American at 0.2%.
The most commonly reported symptoms as of Sept. 17 were myalgia, cough, fever, headache, chills and sore throat. As of July 15, they were cough, fever, myalgia, headache, chills and loss of taste or smell, according to the KCHD.
