County Commissioners Recognize Scouts

Posted
The Kosciusko County Commissioners recognized local Eagle Scouts and opened bids for highway supplies during their meeting this morning.

Commissioners recognized local Boy Scouts who have attained the rank of Eagle Scout. The National Eagle Scout Association is currently celebrating its 100th year.

Recognized this morning were scouts Zach Laureano, Kole Smith and Nicholas Hawn. With them were Dick McCleary, scoutmaster of Troop 715.

Commissioner Bob Conley read a proclamation recognizing the 100th year of Eagle Scouts and presented the troop with a plaque.

Commissioners later opened about 37 bids for supplies for the county highway department. Supplies ranged from asphalt to gravel to bridge components.

Scott Tilden, county highway supervisor, will make recommendations for suppliers at the Nov. 20 commissioners meeting.
