They’re used to sweating over big business decisions and city budgets.
Now a group of three well-known community members will be sweating over whether their friends and family like how they work a grill and frying pan.
Combined Community Services is hosting a Blue Jeans and BBQ gala June 23 at its new location.
Now located at 1195 Mariner Drive, Warsaw, CCS Executive Director Steve Possell said the June 23 event serves as a new direction from the CCS’ previous Crazy Waiter event.
A big part of the event will be a celebrity cook-off featuring Dr. Dane Miller, Maple Leaf Farms’ John Tucker and Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer.
Each celebrity chef will try to get as many votes for their creations as possible.
A vote costs $5.
Proceeds go to CCS.
There also will be a silent auction, live music and cash bar.
A barbecue dinner will be provided by Noa Noa.
Those interested in attending are asked to have response cards returned by June 15.
The cost is $50 per ticket.
