Counterfeit $20 bills are circulating in Warsaw, according to police.
The Warsaw Police Department has reports of two businesses finding $20 bills that were not real.
The first fake bill was found Saturday by an employee of Low Bob's Discount Tobacco, Detroit Street, Warsaw.
The employee working at the cash register told police she became suspicious when the paper the bill was printed on did not feel right and was smooth. The bill did not have red fibers in the paper or a bar line. Police said the print of the bill was slightly blurred.
The second bill was noticed by a teller at Teacher's Credit Union, who described the same suspicious traits.
Warsaw police said both bills had the same serial number, L68960784D, Series 1993.
The police ask if anyone finds a bill that appears to be counterfeit to place it in an envelope, touching it as little as possible, and call WPD immediately at 372-9511.
