A counterfeit $20 bill was passed this week in Silver Lake.
A North Manchester bank teller who was counting a deposit noticed the bill was a different color and wrong weight of paper.
The deposit came from Sands Mini Mart in Silver Lake.
Steve Sands, owner of the mini mart, immediately alerted Kosciusko County Prosecutor David Kolbe, who in turn alerted the FBI, Secret Service and Better Business Bureau.
Kolbe asked area business owners to be on the lookout for any suspicious currency.
