The Kosciusko County Council moved toward approving its 2012 budget Thursday night after some final discussions on it.
After going through an outside firm and receiving a recommendation from them, the council preliminarily approved reclassifying a job in the assessor’s office.
Two positions in Circuit and Superior Court 1 were preliminarily approved to be reclassified to the level of a court reporter’s job.
The Kosciusko County Solid Waste District had its budget approved on a preliminary basis.
The council will take a final vote on the budget at its regular meeting Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.
The council meets in the old courtroom at the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
