Editor, Times-Union: Significant problems concerning the new fire station: increased property taxes, a heavy burden that many cannot afford. Several council members are not listening to the concerns of constituents. It is a council member’s duty to represent his or her constituents in the best way possible. Unfortunately, I do not feel as though that has happened. There is no reason to bid Fort Knox when we cannot afford it. The town of Leesburg built a six-bay fire station for approximately $1.7 million (figured to represent 2016 dollars). Ashley Finney Warsaw
