Lakeland Christian Academy is turning 40 and we want to thank our community for its support. Forty years of providing a first-rate Christian education to the local community is a huge blessing and a big milestone. So much so that we want to celebrate it with you! In honor of LCA’s 40th anniversary, we are having a Free Family Fun Night and everyone is invited. Please mark your calendars for May 14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. We decided that a great way to celebrate would be to hire Christian comedian David Dean to entertain and inspire us for the evening. He is hilarious and has a great message. Here is one review: “I highly recommend David for any event, adults or families. He had a crowd of 500 roaring in laughter with his great one liners and stories. I personally haven’t laughed that hard in a long time, and at one point, was getting light headed from standing and laughing. I thought it was great how he closed his time on a serious note about trials in life and explaining how a sense of humor will help us deal with bumps in the road that we experience in life. David was extremely friendly and a joy to work with and has a huge heart for God.” – Kurt Harjala, chair of Gaylord, Mich., E Free Mens Ministry Conference. In addition to Dean, our very own Student Worship Arts Team will be performing as well as a few guest speakers. During the celebration concessions (hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, candy, drinks, etc.) will be available, and the evening will end by everyone enjoying 40th anniversary cupcakes provided by the LCA Parent Teacher Fellowship. Please join us for an extremely fun night for all ages. It will be a night to remember for sure. You don't want to miss it. Please pass the word as we want to fill our auditorium with people and laughter to thank God for blessing us so richly for 40 years. You can preview some of David’s comedy on his website at www.davidpdean.com The event takes place at Lakeland Christian Academy, 1093 S. CR 250E, Winona Lake. Admission is a voluntary can of food for Combined Community Services. There will also be a free will offering during the evening. This night is sponsored by Grace College, along with Homes 4 Haiti, Silveus Insurance Group, Indiana Pony Rides and Bibles and Books.
