Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office released a statement today advising the autopsy performed on the remains of local teen Aurora Shoemaker was inconclusive. “The autopsy conducted this week was inconclusive as to the matter of Aurora Shoemaker’s death. Her remains are being sent to the University of Indianapolis for further analysis,” Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson said. Further information may not be available for approximately four weeks. Shoemaker, 18, went missing Aug. 16, 2012, and was found in a wooded area Sunday near the intersection of CRs 175E and 350N, north of Warsaw, after young people playing in the area happened upon her remains. The remains were positively identified Tuesday by an Indianapolis anthropologist and an Allen County Forensic dentist. Authorities said Tuesday that foul play is not suspected.
