Kosciusko County Coroner Tony Ciriello released the names of the two children killed Tuesday in a farm accident.
Jaylin Hochstetler, 5, and his brother Kenton Hochstetler, 3, died as a result of blunt force trauma from the injuries they received Tuesday after being struck by a tractor-trailer hauling grain.
First responders were called at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon to 5370 W. CR 1350N, Nappanee, after the grain truck, driven by Benjamin Tyler Sheets, 26, Nappanee, went into motion. Police believe the children were playing underneath the trailer.
The children were pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner’s office, and the crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Team.
